The approximately 2,5 km long public Klong Muang beach is ideal for sunbathing, relaxen and swimming, even at high tide.
The wonderfully peaceful Klong Muang lies proximately 16 km from Ao Nang Beach.

It’s the contrast to Ao Nang, which has developed during the past few years into a popular tourist attraction.
Klong Muang is still in the development stages and can be recommended as an “insider tip”.
Every day in the time from 15.00 - 16.00pm a joung elephant comes to the beach outside the Sheraton Hotel. He like to swim with the tourists - also to get a meal.

In our proximity there are several shops thai-massage, tailor, a motorcycle rental, pharmacy, smaller supermakets, a recently opened Internet Shop, laundry, coiffeur, as well as native restaurants.
Or why not rent a motorcycle and ride approx. 6 km north of “Tap Keack” where with a little luck, you can enjoy the luxury of being completely alone.
For our fishing friends is a catfish farm, approx. 8 km in the direction of Krabi, where you can catch your own catfish for a small fee. Here you can also find a shady spot with a brook and small waterfall.
Approximately 2 km from the Catfish Farm, you will find an elefant camp where it is possible to ride the elefants. Definitely lots of fun for the children!
Or rent a longtail boat and let yourself be seduced by the dream islands of the coasts of Klong Muang. The island of Koh Hong (island-rooms) is an absolute must which can be reached in about half an hour. Here you will find a beautiful lagoon. Also to be recommended is “Paradise Island” with its wonderful beach. Both islands offer excellent snorkeling conditions.
A little further away, about 1 to 1. 1/2 hours boot trip, is “Poda Island”, “Chicken-Island” and “Phra Nang” as well as “Rai-lay Beach”.
